beginning now to flesh out the centepiece, whilst trying hard not to lose the rest of the image. it's an artist thing.

having a bit of inspiration for the centerpiece.

coming more foreward

now the more foreward middle ground is begun. i chose a couple traveller's palms as i knew she liked them, and they went with the surroundings and helped tie the mural to the property.

mid ground

next: we (yes, the royal we) lay in the middle ground. some palmetto scrub, lots of bamboo, palms, etc...

don't freak out!

at this point, the owner is freakin about how dark the piece is and is having guests for the weekend. so i rough-in the sky with some nice light skyblue.

next: deep forest greens to compliment the reds.

off and runnin

and so we get on it! starting with some deep reds i lay in some sketch lines and just get some pigment on the wall.
